The Southern Ocean Tourist Park is a popular place for windsurfers to stay when visiting Lake George.
The park is located just one street, 2 mins walk from a safe swimming beach in Beachport and is walking distance to everything in town.
They offer large grassy, sheltered powered and un-powered sites as will as self-contained cabins & villas.
Park features a 4-star modern amenities block with children & disabled facilities, a camp kitchen, sheltered BBQ area, coin laundry and kids playground.
There is free wifi, a kiosk and dump point and pets are permitted in the off-peak periods.

We stayed in a villa in Feb 2020 for $150 / night which was a bit on the expensive side given it wasn’t peak season.
The villa was clean and in good condition with 2 bedrooms each with a double bed.
The kitchen had a good selection of cooking utensils and appliances and the lounge / dining area was a good size.
Each villa has a deck with outdoor table and chairs which has nice views over the town with glimpses of the bay.
There were about 50 other windsurfers camping in the park when we were there who were very accommodating with information about where to launch and sail on Lake George.
Next time I visit I will get a camp site with the other windsurfers as this ads a new dimension to the vibe of the place.
