Windsurfing & Kitesurfing – Aruba Caribbean
Aruba is a small island (only 30 miles long by 10 miles wide) island located in the Dutch Antilles in the Dutch Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela.
It is renowned as one of the best places on the planet for windsurfing & kitesurfing due to its reliable trade winds and flat and shallow turquoise lagoon. The water temperature rarely drops below 24 degC.
The sailing season is long (pretty much all year round) however the most reliable winds are from January to September with average wind speeds of 20 knots.
There are a number of kite & windsurfing centres dotted around the island offering equipment rentals & tuition.
There are quality accommodation options ranging from moderately priced through to luxury plus is a great variety of restaurants and a even a casino.
