Bribie Island (QLD, Australia)
Windsurfing & Kitesurfing at Bribie Island, Queensland
Bribie Island is located in QLD just north of Brisbane and whilst it is classified as an island, most of the main land is really only separated by a creek.
The island is protected by a real island (Moreton Island) approximately 16km off-shore to the East.
The great thing about this area that not only is it great for all levels of sailors but there is virtually a spot that works in every wind direction due to the geographic layout of the land/water.
As this area is a popular beach-side destination for holiday makers there is a good selection of accommodation options including Holiday Parks, Camping Sites, Hotels, Motels and Holiday Homes.
Bribie Island Windsurfing
There really is just about everything in Bribie Island when it comes to Windsurfing; whether you want to speed sail on flat water, bump-and-jump in protected & safe areas or hot the waves.
