Los Lances Beach

Los Lances Beach is located approximately 3 km north of the town of Tarifa between Rio Jara camping ground and Hotel Dos Mares.

The 3 km long sandy beach is over 100 m wide providing plenty of room for rigging kites & windsurfers.

The spot has a great restaurant/bar hang-out area which has sheltered seating and free wifi & free parking is available at the spot.

During Spring/Summer the most predominant wind is from the East (side-off-shore). The wind can be gusty however the water is very flat with this direction and little to no shore-break making it ideal for flat-water-blasting.

To a lesser degree, the wind can come from the South East during this period (side-shore) and provides for the best sailing with flat crystal-clear blue water.

During Autumn/Winter, a westerly wind (side-on-shore) is most predominant. High winds generate waves and a shore-break.

During the summer months there is a rescue-boat service where you can pre-purchase a set number of rescues.

Surf Centre Tarifa provides windsurfing & kitesurfing lessons & rentals.
