Glass Beach, Corralejo (Fuerteventura)

Glass Beach Windsurfing

This is the best summer spot in terms of wave riding. Glass Beach is located in the middle of the dunes of Corralejo, about 3 kms south of Flag Beach When it’s classic you will get up to 3 meter glassy waves allowing up to three turns. It can also be a perfect spot for aerials. Several days of northeast trade winds are required to create the waves. When the wind eventually turns north to northwest, Glass Beach will deliver side to side offshore conditions. The peak of a wave breaks on a reef but you can launch from the beach down in the flatwater bay to the south. Glass Beach is also a surf spot, so it is best not to interfere with the surfers. The wind picks up normally after midday when there are less surfers present and hence more room for the windsurfers and kiters.
