Hyams Beach, Jervis Bay (NSW, Australia)
Hyams Beach is located on Jervis Bay on the NSW South Coast approximately 2.5 hours drive south of Sydney.
This spot works for windsurfers and kitesurfers on a NE or SE breeze however when the wind is strong from the NE this spot gets quite a swell.
Be aware of some wind shadows out towards the headlands.
On the lighter days, this spot is also great for beginners.
Hyams Beach reputedly has the whitest sand in the world making the water a bright turquoise blue colour. If you are in the area you must visit this spot even if it is just to check out the incredible colour of the water.
Access & Launching
The wind at Hyams Beach Village can be a little gusty in a NE due to the headlands.
If you head along the beach to the south the wind becomes more consistent.
