Lake Illawara Yacht Club (NSW, Australia)
The Illawara Yacht Club, located on Northcliff Drive Warrawong is one of several great spots to sail on Lake Illawara. This area is a great protected bay (depth of 1 – 2 metres) ideal for beginners and intermediate advanced speedsters & bump-and-jumpers can enjoy the area when as the wind comes up.
There is a nice grassy rigging area with an easy launching area
The club also has a windsurfing club with races held on a Saturday from September to April. Social & friendly. They have some gear that can be used by beginners. There are no gear rental shops in the area so if you want to use good gear you will need to BYO.
Sails well in a westerly or northerly, flat water, foiling, bump and jump and racing at the club.

There are no windsurfing rental shops or lessons as far as we are aware apart from some of the sailing clubs on the lake may have some old gear for beginners to learn on.
