Windsurfing & Kitesurfing at Beachmere is best in S/SE (cross-on-shore) breeze but is also doable in NE, SSW (but gets gusty). The spot works on all tides but the higher the tide the less the walk to the water.
This is a great spot for those that like a bit of bump-and-jump action with the wave ramps getting bigger the further out you go & a great ride back in on the back of the waves.
Booties are not required due to the sandy bottom and the lake tends to be shallow for a long way out so there are plenty of spots to rest in waist-deep water.
Access, Rigging & Launching
Access the beach via Phillip Street off Bishop Rd. Here you will find a nice grassy area to rig.
