Caloundra Beaches (QLD Australia)
Windsurfing & Kitesurfing at Caloundra Beaches
Windsurfing & Kitesurfing at Caloundra beaches is best from September to April and the best wind directions from SE & NE.
Between Point Cartwright (The Caloundra Bar) and north to Dicky Beach there is approximately 10 km of beaches to explore.
Launching from Anne Street & Neil Street is ideal for downwinders, bump-and jump and small to medium waves.
Launching from “The Bar” with a SE breeze you can get some great bump and jump conditions on incoming tide & medium to small waves for wave riding.
Access, Rigging & Launching
Launching at any of thee locations mentioned above can be done in any tide for windsurfers however some of the beaches get a bit narrow at high tide so as the tide goes out this provides more space for kiters to rig & launch.
Be aware of swimmers & other water craft as you head out from the shore and avoid the flag areas.
