Langford Island, located in the Whitsundays is a very small island formed by a surrounding reef.
It is located near Hayman Island and is only accessible by boat.
It is a great spot for windsurfing & kitesurfing however you might struggle to foil from the beach as the reef isn’t very far below the surface. In fact at low tide much of the reef has virtually no water over it.
The lagoon could also be a lot of fun for kite surfers when it has sufficient water in it.
The ideal wind direction is NE or SE.
It is not recommended for beginners due to the extensive reef.
It also has a spectacular blue lagoon which is great for kayaking & supping at high tide. At low tide it virtually empties.
This is also a great spot to go snorkeling to explore the surrounding reef.
