Sandringham Harbour is located on Port Phillip Bay NE of Melbourne.
This sheltered harbour is a good spot for beginners in most wind directions, except for a northerly where it can be blustery and off-shore.
The water is usually very flat and shallow so if the beginner gets into any trouble they can usually walk back on the sandy bottom.
If you are a first-timer or have a board and want to try to improve your basic windsurfing skills this is a good spot to do it.
