Sandy Point Beach is located in South Gippsland approximately 2.5 hours east of Melbourne.
This is one of Victoria’s best wave spots for windsurfing, wing foiling & kitesurfing!!
This spot can really turn it on when easterly’s hit with a good size swell.
The beach has an adequate swell most days, the waves are usually pretty clean and there are no rocks or reefs whatsoever.
It is about a 400 m walk to the beach from the car park with your equipment but worth the effort.
It is hard to get a forecast on this spot as the wind reading are taken from Yanakie which is quite a way inland and usually 5 – 10 knots lighter than Sandy Point.
If its a hot day this figure is increased further as the wind picks up as it comes over Wilsons Prom.
