Pro Centre Lanzarote

Location

Pro Centre Lanzarote is located approximately 200 metres from the launching area up a moderate road/walkway. It is central to accommodation in the area so easy to get to by foot however if you need to drive there is a free public car park nearby.

Business Hours

Operating hours are 10 am to 6 pm daily, 365 days a year.

Facilities

The centre itself doesn’t really have much in the way of facilities however it is close to many restaurants & bars.

Windsurfer Rentals

They mostly offer JP boards, Neil Pryde and Xtremesails sails.

They have a good variety of  FreeRide, FreeWave, Freestyle and Wave boards as well as foiling boards.

Large kids / beginners boards and small beginners sails are also available.

Rentals are available by the hour for pre-bookings or walk-ins. If the conditions change and you want to change your board/sail this can be done as often as you want during the rental period without additional cost.

If you have a specific board in mind you would like to rent, pre-bookings are highly recommended.

Gear insurance is available for an additional fee.

Other Rentals

They also offer SuPs for rent and catamarans (generally only in winter as it is normally too windy during summer)

Tuition Services

The school is run by professional qualified coaches, the main man being an ex professional windsurfer – Antxon Otaegui (E-169)

Beginners & intermediates lessons are in groups of up to 5 whilst advanced lessons are generally private 1 on 1 with Antxon.

Antxon can teach advanced gybing, freestyle and wave (including loops etc).

Things get pretty booked up during summer so advanced bookings for lessons are highly recommended.

Safety

The centre shares the safety operations with the other 2 centres in the area including the rescue boats and observers.

Beginner tuition is from a boat so people can feel confident that help is close-at-hand.

Hang-Outs

There is not immediate/attached cafe/bar however PocoLoco is literally just 30 metres from the centre which has a good vibe, good food & drinks (including alcoholic beverages). There is some good shaded seating areas there and is a great place to catch up with friends & other sailors.
