Magawish Beach in Hurghada, Egypt (the site of the Harry Nass Kite & Windsurfing Centre & Mercure Hotel) is said to have the cleanest wind of all of the Hurghada sailing spots. It is a prime location for beginners and slalom/speed sailors. The wind comes from the north creating the perfect cross-shore breeze from the left as you sail out.
The best time to sail at Hurghada is from March to June (summer) and August to October (winter) however thermal winds prevail all year round. The air temps in summer are around 25 – 35 deg c and winter around 15 – 25. Water temps range from 24 deg in winter to 30 deg in summer.
