Beachport is similar to Robe in terms of wind conditions, in that it works all year round, but in the winter tends to depend of the weather patterns at the time. In the warmer spring and summer season, October thru to March, there tends to be a sea breeze from the south east, which can be backed up by what ever current weather system is moving through. Even in the summer the water tends to be cool, so depending on what you are used to a spring suit is recommended. The area experiences a phenomena known as the Great South Australian Coastal Upwelling System, which causes cooler nutrient rich waters to rise. This in part is why the south-easterly sea breeze can establish so well.
