Kitesurfing & Windsurfing at Gerroa

It is said that Gerroa is one of the windiest places on the east-coast of Australia and it provides exceptional wave sailing with long rides on smooth waves.

Gerroa (seven mile beach) is located just south of Gerringong.

This spot works best in a NE breeze and the waves are particularly good with a southerly swell. But any breeze with north in it and any waves works here. The windiest time of the year is late winter (Aug/Sept). This spot doesn’t work in a Southerly – head north to Windang for southerlies.

Launch from the north corner of seven mile beach where you will get a nice cross-off-shore breeze when blowing from the NE. Access from Crooked River Road near Seven Mile Holiday Park.
