Kitesurfing & Windsurfing at Windang Bay

Windang (Pur Pur Point) works best with a Southerly and on its day you will find world-class wave sailing!

The spot can also be epic in a NW (cross-off shore) where the runs are shorter but it can be great for aerials.

The spot is located on the south-side the entrance to Lake Illawara; launch from Pur Pur Point to the south side of Windang Island.

Novices and intermediates should be aware that it can get pretty wild here so be sure to only tackle this spot if you have the right ability.

For beginner kitesurfers the entrance at Windang can also be fun in the shallows on the sand bars.
